Hi.
What is the way to manually install an add-on for internet explorer ?
I have a .cab file which includes a .dll file and a .inf install script.
How can I install this add-on manually ?

Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to TSF

Right click on the .inf file and choose Install

That works but I'm still having a problem with Internet Explorer 8 realizing that said component has been installed. All dlls and files are in place but it doesn't show up under Tools>Manage Add-ons so IE keeps prompting me to install the component.

I'm using XP SP2 and see that all the other add-ons are in a folder C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files (that have previously been installed). I tried copying and pasting into that folder from a computer that had the component already installed and it won't go. I also tried copying the whole folder (Downloaded Program Files) on to the computer I'm having problems with but still no luck. If anyone has any ideas on this I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Wes
