IE8 Problem: Cannot launch the program

Version of IE (Internet Explorer):
IE8.0 Final

Operating System:
Windows XP Pro SP3 32 bit (English Version)

What you have tried:
I upgraded IE8 Final from IE8 RC1 (RC1 works flawlessly), and when I launched the program, the browser screen just flashed for a few seconds, and closed by itself. I have tried unintalling it, downgrade to IE6/IE8 RC1, they all work flawlessly. I have tried to restore settings in IE8 Final, uninstall/reinstall in in Safe Mode, disable add-ons and Anti-Virus Software and all that, but the IE8 Final just doesnt work.

What the problem is:
When I launched IE8 Final, it flashed for a few sec and then auto-closed itself, no error msg or whatever, and disabling add-ons and so on wont help.

Give detail explaining your problem:
I have searched on the internet, there are quite a few ppl having the same issue, but so far no solutions yet. I dont wanna re-install my OS :(

For the ToolbarCop, I didnt paste it here as I dunno whether I have to paste the IE8 Final version info of it, or the browser I am currently using (RC1)

Please try to uninatall and re-install the internet explorer on your computer.

As mentioned in my 1st thread, I've already did that for at least 5-10 times (both normal mode and safe mode), and it just did not work

To resolve this issue try to uninstall and reinstall the internet explorer 8 from your computer , once you reinstalled the internet explorer try to reset it by following these steps .
1 open the internet explorer
2 Go the Tools > internet options > Advance and finally click on the reset .

This will solve your issue .

I've done these steps (and all of the normal ways I can find on the internet) you've mentioned lots of times, and it just does not work

Click Start, All programs, Accessories, System tools and click on Internet Explore (No Addons)

Yep, same problem remains if I use the non-addons version

Have you tried this : Start Button... Go to Control Panel... Use the Windows Update button... This for some reason opened IE8 for me whn I was having your problem. I hit the EXPRESS Windows Updates button.
Although this has not COMPLETELY resolved my issue, at least, I get NET access on the first try most of the Time.
When frustrated I: Start Button... Go to Control Panel... Use the Windows Update button... <<< NEVER HAS FAILED TO OPEN ANY VERSION OF IE FOR ME when I have had launch problems. Maybe MS is working to fix the issue and hasn't said anything. Who knows... I do know the above method worked for me...
