Dell Insprion Left click not working.

Ok, first of all, hello, and I am having an agitating problem with my mouse. Ok. I am not sure what Version of inspiron my laptop is. (it was a hand-me-down gift ). Suddenly, my left click on my mouse has stopped working. I have a mouse that comes ON the laptop (and a touchpad)
and I am trying to fix it.the right click and touchpad have nothing wrong with it at all. the left one makes a sound when i click it, but does nothing at all. I really dont wanna buy an attached mouse, is there any way I can fix this? i have searched countlessly, but have gotten nothing. I there is any more info needed, I will try my best to help. If there is anyway to fix it without buying or going to best buy, (etc,) Please tell me!

The model should be on the laptop . . go to the Dell support site, enter your Service Tag Number and download the drivers for the touchpad. Be sure to use IE and do not use the Dell Download Manager!

Just download the driver file, save it to the desktop and double click to install

On the list of drivers, click on the driver file:



Then the download button here:

The Touchpad driver should be the one . . if that does not fix it, it could be a hardware problem

Do not use the Dell download manager . . see my post on what to do
