Rather distressing as I use yahoo mail for my business -- I can't open any attachments in Yahoo Mail. (I use internet explorer as my browser.) I click the attachment, I get the download file link, but when I click on it, nothing happens, then the bottom bar says "done."

So far tonight this applied to:

a pdf
a word doc

Any clues for the clueless appreciated.

Are you using IE9? Also make sure you are saving the document to your desktop or a place you know you can go and find them.

Check this out this should help alot:

Have a look to see if you are using any Proxie settings here's how to remove it.

Then this:

How can I reset the Hosts file back to the default?

Please download Cleanup! and install it.

*NOTE* Cleanup deletes EVERYTHING out of temporary folders and does not make backups.

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:

Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
  • Empty Recycle Bins
  • Delete Cookies
  • Delete Prefetch files (if present)
  • Cleanup! All Users
  • Click on the Temporary Files tab and uncheck the box for Scan drives for files matching if it’s checked.
Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program and Do Not reboot when prompted.

Hi, We use Chrome browser and XP on a laptop and a PC. The PC is OK but in the laptop when we want to email something in Yahoo to multiple recipients, the Control+Click or Shift+Click doesn't work in the CC or BCC menu. Any solution please? Thank you!
