I'm not exactly sure if this is the right section of the forums for this.. Basically, I have good skills in HTML and CSS, and I know my way around some javascript and SQL. I'm looking to take that next step into being a serious programmer, alongside of being in school and working 40 hours a week. I'm looking for someone thats experienced to point me into the right directions so Im not making any rookie mistakes. Ill leave my skype here, you can also reply or PM me here thank you all, in advance

This will teach you very much about web development. One thing it doesn't cover is dropdown menus which is done with unordered lists. Check back for more infor.
We are now in a world of mobile phones and tablets. You may want to go the direction of programming apps for them. This requires the Java programming language for the Android operating system.(I forget what language iPad uses. (I little bragging here, but I went to high school with the guy, James Gosling, who created the Java language).
I do have some background in Java, thats a very interesting thought to ponder. Also I'm not a beginner in "web developing " just lacking professional experience.
If we all could know it all about development, like the Webmasters on the Web. I'm sure they must keep their skills as trade secret. After all, this is their bread and butter.
I'm just trying to find a way to expand real world experience with this stuff. I'm not looking for it to pay all my bills, but definitely couldn't hurt. School in the USA breaks the bank.
Myself, I have used w3schools alot but also have searched the internet to get the code I need. It don't come easy. You have to be dedicated work hard. Webdevelopment knowledge comes free on the internet. Use it.
