ive always wondered

on valentines .. do the gurls get the guy chocolate? or do the guys get the gurls?

becuz in korea theres thing called white day where the guy gets the gurl or the gurl gets the guy choclate .. ahhhhh confused!!!!

and also one more question
when a gurl or a guy askes there mate will you be my valentine?

wat exactly does that mean? .. i mean does that mean lets be gf bf? .lets get married? ... lets hang out for one day ? .. or is it just the idea of being someones valentine for that day?

Traditionally the guy gets the gal some chocolates, but it wouldn't be unheard of for both to get the other something. My brother's girlfriend made him a bunch of fudge.

It's kind of difficult to explain. But suffice it to say, you don't necessarily have to even be boyfriend and girlfriend for someone to be one's valentine... oftentimes you'll hear people asking someone to be his or her valentine in jest, or maybe to show interest. It might be compared in terms of significance to asking a girl her phone number... nothing huge.

Valentine's day was pretty crappy for me. Last weekend my girlfriend called me up to tell me, in case I was going to buy her something big for valentine's day, that she just wanted to "be friends". Ouch. And then yesterday I had to stand behind a counter ringing up peoples' roses, greeting cards, and, ehem, you-know-what-doms. Really depressing.
