Windows 10 not will recognize WD drive

I have an older model Western Digital external drive.

When I plug it into Windows 10, nothing happens.

I have two other WD drives that I purchased later. These show up perfectly, and I have no trouble accessing the files on them.

I am uploading an image that shows the model and serial number of the drive I am not able to access.

Do I need to download "drivers" for this????

How can I access the files?

Thanks,

Hi there,

- Are you connecting this Western Digital(WD) hard drive to your computer via USB? If so, try to connecting the USB cable onto another USB port.

- When you have the external hard drive connected to your computer, go into the "Device Manager" look for any exclamation marks. If so, list which hardware section is this exclamation mark is listed.

- Reboot the computer with the external hard drive connected and then go into the BIOS. In there, see if the BIOS recognizes the hard drive.
