I am not referring to the drop down list in Edge. Instead I went looking for Favorites in Cordana (?) in order to copy a group of sites I have in Favorites. What I found was a group of favorites "modified" last November, under This PC>OS (C)>Users> my name>favorites. Why is this list not current?
Are you using Microsoft Edge and do you mean Cortana?
Microsoft Edge does not use the Favorites folder found in your user profile. Instead favorites are stored in the Edge Profile and they cannot be retrieved through that file.
The path %userprofile%\Favorites is only used for Internet Explorer.
OK I think I understand what you are saying. Too bad.
However, I am still wondering why the User's file with favorites in it, cited in my message above, has not been updated since last fall-I have added and deleted many favorites over that time.
I am referring to favorites in edge, not IE, which I don't have in Win 10. Favorites are added by clicking on the star next to the open book in the upper right corner of the screen in Edge. Hope that this helps.
I am sorry-you are saying that the favorites that I have in the Favorites file that I named above are old because edge does not save them there, so they can/will not be updated. Got it, finally-duh. problem solved! thanks.
