So my kids keep getting this prompt on their laptops asking to set up or verify a MS account. That's the thing that asks me to put in credit card info and pay fifty cents which I don't want to do.
a. Is there any benefit to setting this up?
b. How can I get rid of that prompt constantly popping up?
What do you mean that is the prompt that stops you from paying money?
A. If you set it up, the PC will be linked to your Microsoft account and allow you to access things like the Microsoft store. Settings will also be transferred between PCs connected to this account.
B. Make sure to log out of the account on the PC or remove it from the PC entirely.
So should I pay the fifty cents? Is it worth it? Why would I want to link accounts?
How would I delete the account? I thought it wasn't even set up for my kids.
TSF has a COPPA account policy also, but there's no charge.
