My laptop HP updated the bios today and it seems it messed up my computer. Like the net wasn't working and it wouldn't let me open up stuff. Finally I restarted, was able to open the command and I enter these codes.

Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Restarted and it seems to be working fine now. I'm just wondering if I should stop updating the bios everytime it ask me to?

A BIOS update should never be done unless it addresses a specific problem you are having. It should not be done simply because there is a newer version available. This is because the consequences of a failed update are so serious. In many cases the only recovery is physical replacement of the BIOS chip by a trained technician. This can happen even if you do everything right.
