Hi so I tethered my laptop to my cellphone when I was away from home to watch a standard definition youtube video about 10 minutes long. After watching the video I got 2 messeages from Att first saying that I was at 75% data usage then I was at 100% data usage. So I immediately turned off the tether, checked my phone for bandwith usage and in the 10 minutes of watching that youtube video I managed to use 8Gig's of bandwith.... Which I knew was absolutely insane.
Nothing was running on my laptop except the web browser, so my first though was I have to have some kind of virus that's piggy backing my system using my badwith and that is why I am here.
I was able to find a Bandwith usage program easily, and the results I got was that no bandwith was being used when I was doing nothing, but if I start a youtube video and push pause, the usage will go nuts and take about 2gig's of bandwith to load a 2 minute youtube video. So im farily positive theres some kind of bug on my computer.
So my question is if anyone knows any way that I can track down what exactly is using that bandwith, ive looked for programs that tell me what's using it but I cannot find any. I really want to find what is causing this if not I will just reformat.
