Hi I just bought a new HP Envy M6-1232ea laptop. Its running windows 8.

I'm having huge issues with the internet. It finds the modem fine and connects fine but I can't access any website. If I try doing it with an Ethernet cable it works fine.

I need help please

Welcome to TSF,

Can you run the Troubleshoot Problem Tool (right click on the Wi-Fi icon see attached image)?

Also, please provide an ipconfig/all output and Xirrus capture. See preposting requirements.

Thanks for the additional info requested. Have you ran the troubleshoot problems tool?

Can you do a Power Cycle of your Modem/Router?
How to Power Cycle Your Broadband Devices | Tech Support Forum

Are you able to access the router settings of your Modem/Router? We can change some settings.

Thanks for the reply, I have done a power cycle several times, but no luck :(

Also oddly enough I was able to connect earlier, and get an internet connection, loaded Google fine, went to load another page and took forever then stopped working again.

I ran it in safe mode and still didn't work so it isn't a software problem either.

Can you access the router setting and change something? Make sure to inform the rest of your household while you're doing this as they might get disconnected.

Change the Wireless Mode from a Mixed Mode to G or G/N or B/G.

If that didn't work, run the Intel utility to update your Intel Wi-Fi adapter.
