Heisann, I'm sharing my connection with two laptops, via ad-hoc on my laptop. Was working fine up til yesterday, when suddenly the two other laptops lost the internet-connection. It seems to have stopped for no reason...
I'm running windows vista home premium, on an HP Pavillion dv9700.
my internet connection is through a USB modem.
All help is deeply appreciated, as the two other laptop-owners are paying me a bit for the network...
Marty.

On the host machine, let's see this.
Hold the Windows key and press R , then type CMD to open a command prompt:
In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:
Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.
IPCONFIG /ALL
Right click in the command window and choose Select All , then hit Enter .
Paste the results in a message here.
If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Can you give me step-by-step instructions?
I've set up the network, the other users are able to connect, but access is only local. I've tried enabling ICS on both the network the others are connecting to, and the internet connection itself. i've checked off all the services in settings, but still nothing...
help...
