so can anyone help me for solving my problem at my office?...
Try to restart the printer spooler service on the desktop on which the printer is installed. To do this: click start -> type in services.msc, press enter -> find printer spooler in the list. Double click on this, click on stop and then click on start. Then try to print again.
Also try to unshare the printer and share it again. Then set the permissions correctly either for each user or annonymously.
No you shouldnt need to install the drivers..because it been shared, as long as the computer that the printer is attached to is on and connected to the network..it should work fine.
Ahh... ok Maz_- i will not install. I tried to restart the printer spooler but the same problem is still there I can't print even the printer is shared.:4-dontkno
If you are sharing a printer, i have never had to download/instal the drivers. Your computers communicates with the printer that is sharing the printer and the driver is installed on the main pc, which allows you to print.
How are you connecting to the shared printer?? Are you sharing via ipaddress or computer name? You need to share via computer name, because it is static and ip address can change.
If it is shared by an ip address, delete the printer and connect to it again using the pc name. So basically you do: \\mypc1 and then it will bring up all shared files and folders, go into printers, right click on it, click connect. Then do a test print.
I would highly suggest for you to download the most recent printer driver then install it.
Can this printer be wired directly to the router by using a network cable or its only USB Interface capable?
