Need Help with Q-SEE QSDR74RTS internet setup

I installed a Q-SEE QSDR74RTS DVR security system. Everyhting is up and running. I am now trying to be able to monitor my system through the internet, and on my Android phone.

I am having problems with port forwarding. Can someone be able to helpme? I can give you all of the information needed. I must have been trying for 4 hours already and can not figure it out.

I am running a Westell DSL modem (c90-610030) to a Belkin Wireless Router (f9k1103v1) .

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps this link will get you started, I couldn't find the model of your router but I pick one that was close. Port Forwarding Qsee QSDR74RTS on the Belkin F9K1102v1 - PortForward.com

Re: Need Help with Q-SEE QSDR74RTS internet setup

Thanks. I already tried that. I forwarded the ports on my Belkin router as well as my Westell modem. When I go to chech to see if the ports are open, they are not. I can post pics of the settings of my modem, wireless router, and dvr network screen if that would help.

Yea post some screenshots. Port forwarding on a modem doesn't sound right either, you only need to do it on the router unless the modem has a firewall.

Re: Need Help with Q-SEE QSDR74RTS internet setup

It appears that you are double NATed, the Westel modem is also a NAT device. This might be the cause of the problem. You should check the link below.

What is the proper way to configure a Westell modem with a generic router? AT&T Southeast Forum FAQ | DSLReports.com, ISP Information

Once you've done the above you can proceed with the port forwarding.
