Hi guys & girls,
I work for a computer repair business, our own network has been having issues with high data usage through our broadband connection.
We currently have a Cisco VPN firewall but that doesn't give any information in regards to individual device usage etc.
I was looking at setting up a Smoothwall Linux router setup. I currently have a VM Server with 4NIC cards that I can use.
I was going to setup Smoothwall but I thought I would ask around incase there's any other software that might do the job for me.
A breif rundown of the network.....
-VDSL Modem in Bridge Mode
- Router connecting using PPOE on WAN port
- VLAN1 - Internal Network with SBS Server w/ DHCP
- VLAN2 - Public network (For workshop etc) (DHCP on Router)
I need the ability to open ports for the SBS and Phone server on the internal network. As well as obviously the ability to view usage via device/IP etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
