Laptop Dell auto-disconnects when i plugged in the DSL cable :( Please help :(

Dear guys,

I've just bought a new Dell laptop (Inspiron N5110) and have Windows 7 installed on it. Things happened when my laptop get viruses and I have to re-install everything all over again. After successfully installing Windows, I installed the drivers for my laptop.

The problem is:

I have an internet connection in my house: wired and wireless.

I can connect the wifi zone from my laptop normally. It's ok.
But when i plugged in the DSL Cable, the internet connection is always disconnect and then auto-connect again and again :(

The map of internet connection in my house:
ISP -> Modem -> Wifi Router -> Wired + Wireless

I've been very stressful with this problem :(
Anyone can help me? :(
Hope to see your reply soon :(

Or you can email me at: [google email harvesting before you post your email address in a public forum again]

Thanks again and have a nice day guys :)

When you say "dsl cable" you mean plugging into the modem or do you mean plugging into the router?

If the router I would guess you don't have the drivers installed for the wired nic. You would go to Device Manager and look under network. Any yellow exclaimation marks?

It was plugging into the router nah. I have my PC using this DSL cable line too.
I've checked in the Device Manager :( No yellow exclaimation marks.

"It was plugging into the router nah. I have my PC using this DSL cable line too."

sorry that doesn't make sense to me.

confirm your hookup is as follows:
Internet<>modem<>router<>pcs

nothing but the router should be plugged into the modem
