I'm trying it and I've looked online, but I'm not getting a definitive answer.
Both computers are using windows 7
Is it possible to do this? How would I do it, nothing seemed to stick out at me as to how this is done.
Doesn't it? I would, but the router has to be in another room.
I've searched for it using different phrases, but I keep getting results that say to use ICS, but I'd need a crossover cable.
I've also been told to right click the connection the laptop is connected to and enable sharing, but that doesn't trigger any reaction on the desktop.
Go to network and sharing center, then on the left hand side of the window select change adapter settings. Select both Local area connection and wireless network connection. Right click and create bridge.
I know this does not answer you question, but I agree with Wanderer. Run a WIRE to the next room. You can actually do this in a manner that actually looks very appealing.
