Hp Pavilion dv2000: No network adapters are working

Small back ground story: Boss comes to me with a problem of his internal wireless network card not working on his HP. He said he read that a lot of people are having this issue with this model. I recommended a few things; none of which worked. He bought a Belkin N300 micro USB wireless adapter to see if that would fix it. He told me it had been working for him up until about a week ago when the Belkin stopped working as well. I currently have his HP and am trying to figure out what has gone wrong.

All drivers for all of the network adapters are current drivers. I just re-installed them all over last night.

SPECS:
HP Pavilion dv2000
Window Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit
Intel(R) Core 2 Duo T5250 @ 1.50GHz
2gb of ram

Ethernet Adapter: Marvel Yukon 88E8039 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller
Built-in Wireless Adapter: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
USB Wireless Adapter: Belkin N300 micro

I have checked each one individually by disabling the 2 that I wasn't working on.

First the ethernet adapter when plugged in and enabled just says 'local area connection' with an IP address of 169.254.22.8 or something similar and tells me it is on an 'unidentified network'. So I restarted the adapter like it suggests. Same information comes up. After which I went into the IPv4 setting gave it a static IP for my network and a DNS. At this point the computer reads the network but still says 'local area connection.' I do a restart of the adapter again and this time it comes up with 'cannot communicate with primary dns' the one that I gave to it. Another repair is done by the computer and still the same thing. So I went into the advanced settings under IPv4 and added another DNS that matched my router IP like was suggested in another forum with a person who had a similar problem, but nothing changed. I set everything back to default and disabled the ethernet adapter.

I moved on to the built-in wireless adapter starting with default setting like the ethernet adapter and I got a similar IP. Then I went through the same steps as I had done with the ethernet adapter and got the same results. Set the built-in back to default and disabled.

Last I did the same thing with the Belkin wireless USB adapter and still had the same results.

The ipconfig /all with all the adapters enabled is as follows with everything set to default:

If there are any suggestions that could help me that would be great since normally I don't have any problems finding what I need to fix the problems people bring to me.

Thanks in advance.

Yes I know if there is more than one running they will conflict. The webroot firewall was on and the windows firewall was off. I turned both the webroot and windows firewalls off. At this point the computer could connect to my network. I turned the windows firewall on and the computer still connected. what I am asking is if there is a better program than webroot that would be recommended for me to tell my boss to look into that has a firewall that is better than the standard windows firewall.
