How to share my Internet Connection that I receive from my wi-fi device receiver?

Hi All!

I connected a Dlink di-624 2.4ghz G Wireless Router with my laptop pcmcia device wi-fi receiver.

My Laptop receive then high speed internet access from the Wi-Fi device receiver. I would like then use this laptop to share the internet connection for a IP Phone. I absolutly want to pass by my laptop and not by my router.

Can you tell me if I can connect an Internal network card and connect it to an VOIP Phone or another dlink di-624 router?

I dont know how to do that and how to setup that.

Please help me!

Best regards,

Dimnet

Sorry, but you can't do that. The router is a DHCP device that assigns an IP address to all connected devices. In that method you can't extend it any further without using a hub. There are routers now that also work as VOIP devices. That may be something to consider.

So Do you mean that I can install a Hub to the Laptop to share the Internet access, which is received by a pcmcia wi-fi device receiver?

I am pretty sure that I can share the internet access of my laptop through a home network but how to do it? How to configure the ip address for my home network and ip phone then?

if I desactive the dhcp option of my first router then can I share the internet connection to the second router by connectiing the second router from my laptop who receive internet access from the first router?

If so how I can do that?

Thank you in advance for your help!
