Dual Network ( Internet & VPN ) can not access at same time on windows 7 : Urgent
Hello,
I am facing major problem while simaltaneous working over Internet & VPN network.
OS Version :
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 - 32 bit Build 7600
Dual Network ( Internet modem & VPN router ) cables connected to common unmanagd network switch & from switch cable is connected to Windows 7 Ultimate machines.
IP Configuration on Windows 7 machines :
1) First Gateway IP address 192.168.1.1 along with manual metric 5
2) Second Gateway IP address for vpn is 10.175.170.1 along with manual metric 10
3) First IP address for internet 192.168.1.2 subnet 255.255.255.0
4) Second IP for VPN 10.175.170.2 subnet 255.255.255.0
Static Route Added on local machines :
Added persistent routes for below servers over vpn gateway on windows 7 machine.
10.185.1.13
10.185.1.14
Problem : Whenever we configure 2 gateways, both internet & vpn work well till we restart the machine. But after restarting windows 7 machine, internet gateway IP gets removed automatically from machine, so internet fails to connect but only vpn works. When we disconnects the vpn cable from switch, internet starts working but VPN won't. Again if we connect the VPN cable to switch, it disconnects the internet & starts working VPN.
In short, above dual configuration works only till we reboot the windows 7 machine. I want to access of both i.e. VPN & Internet at same time but able to access only single network.
The above configuration is smoothly working on Windows XP SP3 but on windows 7 wont.
Kindly help me whether there is any solution so that I will get the access of both i.e. Internet & VPN at the same time in Windows 7.
