Exclusion: DHCP will not offer the address for use at all. Generally a range of addresses at the start of the DHCP scope which will be statically assigned to specific devices (ie. servers, printers, etc.) Reservation: ties a specific IP address to a specific hardware address (MAC) and will offer that IP only to the coordinating MAC.
Normally, with a windows server, you create a scope of say 192.168.1.100 - 199
Your server should be at 192.168.1.5 or .10 something like that.
And your Router should be 192.168.1.1 or 254 normally.
Making your scope 100 - 199 for example, automatically makes 1 - 99 and 200 - 254 "Exclusions"
Put your access point(s) Servers, Printers, ETC in those excluded ranges.
Is this DHCP Server also the DNS Server, if it is, make it the DNS Server in DHCP for your workstations to grab.
