Connect to PS3 through wireless router and wired modem?

Ok, to keep it as simple as possible, here's my dilemma......

I get my internet through an Ambit U10C018 cable modem (not wireless capable). This really sucks because I have a PS3 along with my computer (in close proximity to each other) that I want a constant connection on. Every time I want to get internet on one or the other, I have to unplug, move, and replug it in, and this gets old fast.

Last night I bought a Linksys Cisco Wireless-N Home Router WRT120N thinking that I could leave the router's ethernet connected directly to the computer and connect wirelessly from the PS3 to the router. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in theory, this is supposed to work....right?

If it's not supposed to work then I take full credit for my stupidity and misunderstanding. But if it IS supposed to work, for the life of me, I can't get it to work. My PS3 won't connect or even search at all for local wireless connections...it just says "Connect ethernet cable" and won't let me choose wireless as an option.

If it's possible, could someone please help me figure out how to get wired connection from router to computer while at the same time getting wireless connection from my router to my PS3? This is really stressin me out!

Thanks in advance ya'll!

Why not connect the cable since you were using it with a cable? Did you configure the wireless capability of the router?
