I recently changed my CPU from I3 2120 to I5 2500k.
Whenever I try to power on the PC, I get that error in a blue screen. I cleared cmos, even took out the battery, waited a bit, put it back..still the same. I don't know what to do exactly, I really need help. I cannot enter the Windows whatsoever.
It was the SSD. I was installing the windows on the SSD and by random, i took it out and installed the windows on the hard drive. Worked like a charm.
Please close it
So it seems that whenever i try to play games, i get bluee screns again with the same error.
Whoever knows this stuff, I beg you to take a look and help me!!
You could have a faulty CPU.
First if you have any Overclocks please disable them.
Download Speccy from my sig to check the CPU temperature. A high temperature is known to causes errors like this. (Max temperature for this CPU is 76.2c)
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
Download the Auto-Install for USB. This test will stress the RAM to ensure no hardware faults occur. To be sure you'll need to run at least 4 passes. Depending on your systems performance it may take +1hr to run the passes.
During this test you wont be able to use your PC.
Thank you for replying. The overclocks in bios are disabled. I've done already the memory test and they are ok(i've just bought new ones).
Is it normal to have these temp during the test?!
I have twp CPU's and two coolers. I did not change the paste to the old one, but i did on the new one.
Even though..there is litteraly no more paste on the cooler..and on the processor i can barely see it ( on the old ones )..i should not play any games this saturday and sunday and wait for monday to apply paste?
I played like this for 3 years, with that paste, didnt change it. it was all ok
Once the cooler is removed for any reason it should be redone as you can get air trapped in between the two and air will act as a insulator and not transfer the heat.
Guys, i ******* made it. I bought a new i5 3570k and a new cooler thermaltake. No more problems at all. IT WAS THE RAM AND CPU ALL ALONG.
I can't thank you enough all of you that you helped me.
God bless you.
