Hi,

We have two consistent bug checks:

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)

This indicates that invalid system memory has been referenced.

Bug check 0x50 usually occurs after the installation of faulty hardware or in the event of failure of installed hardware (usually related to defective RAM, be it main memory, L2 RAM cache, or video RAM).

Another common cause is the installation of a faulty system service.

Antivirus software can also trigger this error, as can a corrupted NTFS volume.

This indicates that an exception happened while executing a routine that transitions from non-privileged code to privileged code.

Lots of cdd.dll routines being called and labeled as the fault by the FBID - FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: X64_0x50_cdd!DrvAssociateSharedSurface+51

cdd.dll = Canonical Display Driver, it's a Microsoft system file.

---------------

1. Remove and replace Avira with Microsoft Security Essentials for temporary troubleshooting purposes:

Avira removal - How do I uninstall my Avira product?

MSE - Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows

2. Ensure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest video card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the latest to ensure it's not a latest driver only issue. If you have already experimented with the latest video card driver and many previous versions, please give the beta driver for your card a try.

3. Given we have many cdd.dll faults, there may be file system corruption:

SFC /SCANNOW:
Quote:
What does running SFC /SCANNOW do?
The sfc /scannow command (System File Checker) scans the integrity of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible.
To run the SFC /SCANNOW command in Windows 7:
- Open an elevated command promt (run cmd as administrator).
- In elevated command prompt, type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes, and press enter. Do note this can take some time to finish.
To see and read only the "SFC" scan results from the CBS.log:
- Open an elevated command promt (run cmd as administrator).
- Copy and paste the following and then press enter:
findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >C:\sfcdetails.txt
This will create a file called sfcdetails.txt at the root of your system (C:\) containing only the SFC scan results from the CBS.log.

Patrick

Hey Patrick, you are awesome. Fully answered with details. I aprecciate your time man :) I forgot to mention something...i upgraded my graphics card previous week. So it may be the problem right? I tried to download older version but i found that only the same version with the installed one is available. :| Dunno how to remove the update!

Also, i ve seen that Avira has a disable web protection. Dunno why :| I dont know if these info helps but i am trying to remember as much as possible...

thanks again!

1. When you upgraded the graphics card, did you remove the video card drivers and install the latest version for the new video card? If not, do that. If you did, do it again anyway. If the latest version gives you a problem, check for a beta driver.

-- Side question, how did you upgrade the video card in a laptop? It's built into the motherboard.

2.

We're removing Avira for troubleshooting purposes, so whatever problems Avira is having are currently irrelevant.

Sure, hm you mean the message that pop up after BCOD? I guess no. I dont remember the folder that dump file exists. Or, maybe you mean, run again the tests that i run in the beggining of the post?
