NOTE: I have severe eye problems. If I do not respond to your postings, please PM another staff member for assistance.
Was the system giving you BSOD's? I only see one memory dump report in the uploaded files and that was the Driver Verifier enabled report. What was the reason for running Driver Verifier?
The perfmon issues point to problems with devices on your system. The first one is a touch device and the second appears to be a storage device (may be a card reader). MSINFO32 refers to this second device as your E: drive.
Go into Device Manager and locate these 2 devices (they should be marked with an exclamation point). Right click on them and select "Uninstall" - and select the check box that asks you if you want to delete the drivers (you want to delete them).
Then visit the HP website and update these devices to the latest Win7 x64 compatible drivers. Reboot and check Device Manager to ensure the devices are fixed.
Your infrared device driver dates from 2007. It's possible that this driver isn't compatible with Win7. Please remove the current drivers and install up-to-date Win7 x64 drivers for this device.
MAudio USB devices have been known to cause BSOD issues with outdated drivers - please ensure that you have the latest Win7 x64 compatible drivers for this device. Troubleshoot this device by uninstalling it's software and then removing the device from the system - then test for further BSOD's
Less likely, but still a possibility, is Norton Internet Security. To test for problems with it, try this procedure:
Anti-Virus Removal:
Please do the following:
- download a free antivirus for testing purposes:
Free AntiVirus
- uninstall the
Norton from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of
Norton using this free tool:
http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080710133834EN
-
IMMEDIATELY install and update the free antivirus, then check to ensure that the Windows Firewall is turned on.
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
NOTE: NEVER run more than 1 anti-virus, firewall, Internet Security/Security Center application at the same time.
I have, to the best of my ability, listed possible BSOD issues for this topic. If not experiencing BSOD's, then please include a detailed description of what problems you are having so that we can attempt to fix them.
