OR just right click on any PICture u like or the one u had and click on set as desktop background

light blue is just default for windows if something goes wrong with the desktop pic it goes to blue by default

 

Hi Guys

I don't think I made it clear - by the time it has booted up, there is only a blue screen, and a mouse pointer - NOTHING else - no START, nothing!

I even tried clicking down by where START would be, but no response.

The only thing I can access is setup - before it starts to boot.

Is it possible to start in safe mode like XP?

The only disk I have is the installation disk - which I can't find at the moment.

restart the computer and keep pressing F8 tell the option show up than do a Restore all the way back before u had this problem

 

Try F11 or F12 for Packard Bell systems to get to the recovery partition.

 

Hi Guys

I can't find any restore facility, the F8 key is for changing the boot sequence only, F11 and F12 do nothing.

When I press F10, I can find a way to the Safe Mode menu, I tried basic safe mode - got a black screen only with the safe mode script on it, after a minute the Internet Explorer page appears with the BRONTOK.A[16] virus page displayed.

I tried Safe Mode with command prompt, got the same black screen with the safe mode script - no command prompt.

Still stumped!

I suggest that you contact Packard Bell about purchasing a set of Vista recovery DVDs as you will need to wipe the hard drive and re-install Vista.
