Help

I downloaded an ebook from 'resellers-heaven.com' when I tried to open the file - the screen just went (light) Blue!

Then the computer shut down and re booted - back to the same blue screen.

I shut it down for a few hours, then switched it on - it started to boot normally, I signed in, it continued to boot, just when the desktop page should have appeared - the blue page appeared, the mouse pointer was there - which worked from the mouse ok.

The computer is a fairly modern Packard Bell running Vista Ultimate.

Can anyone help - thanks

Hi Guys

I don't think I made it clear - by the time it has booted up, there is only a blue screen, and a mouse pointer - NOTHING else - no START, nothing!

I even tried clicking down by where START would be, but no response.

The only thing I can access is setup - before it starts to boot.

Is it possible to start in safe mode like XP?

The only disk I have is the installation disk - which I can't find at the moment.

Hi Guys

I can't find any restore facility, the F8 key is for changing the boot sequence only, F11 and F12 do nothing.

When I press F10, I can find a way to the Safe Mode menu, I tried basic safe mode - got a black screen only with the safe mode script on it, after a minute the Internet Explorer page appears with the BRONTOK.A[16] virus page displayed.

I tried Safe Mode with command prompt, got the same black screen with the safe mode script - no command prompt.

Still stumped!
