Did a Windows update this weekend and the BSOD's started. Getting about one or two a night [only time I use this computer, though it is my main pc]. Tried to revert and uninstall the update, no go. I couldn't even find the update in the list.

OS - Vista/ Windows 7 ? Win 7 SP1
· x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? x64
· What was original installed OS on system? None
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)? Retail
· Age of system (hardware): 2 years-ish
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? Year plus
· CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Kuma 2.7GHz Socket AM2+ 95W Dual-Core black
· Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450
· MotherBoard: ASUS M3A78-EM AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
· Power Supply - brand & wattage: COOLER MASTER eXtreme RP-500-PCAR 500W ATX12V V2.01 Power Supply
· Memory: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X4096-8500C5D

Same as my last two posts here pretty much.

THanks again.

Re: BSOD's after Windows update

Had another BSOD about a minute after posting this. Wasn't even doing anything. Just watching youtube.

ONe more thing.. I'm also having programs randomly close without warning, and Chrome refuses to load pages sometimes... It shows some blue error page with a reload button that usually works. I need to screen cap that page next time it comes up.

Re: BSOD's after Windows update

Hi -

Update Asus ATK0110 mobo utility driver -
Code:
[font=lucida console]ASACPI.sys      Sun Mar 27 22:30:36 [color=red]2005[/color] (42476C4C)[/font]
http://sysnative.com/drivers/driver.php?id=ASACPI.sys

That 2005 version is a known cause of BSODs in Windows 7 x64.

Regards. . .
