So, it appears that that is the latest driver available. I think it may be conflicting with
VMware's network adapters.
Uninstall/disable VMware to see if it makes a difference.
EDIT: I notice you only have 1GB RAM installed, is this OS running on a virtual machine, or is it the virtual machine host? If the former, uninstall the Realtek networking driver.
