Hi hkopene019057

My name is Anrick ,I work for the Dell social media and community
You have mentioned that it usually occurs when you are playing a game, so I would suspect the problem to be related to your Video drivers or the video card itself
First thing you can try is updating the Video driver from our support site (
www.support.dell.com) selecting the correct model of the system.

In order to help you better with the issue I would like you to answer to these questions
1. When usually these blue screens occur?
2. Do u get an error code or error message if yes what is the code/message?

The Blue Screen of Death (also known as the BSOD) is a screen that Windows shows you when it shuts down your computer in order to prevent damage to it. It's also known as a STOP error or as a BugCheck Code. It is a hardware error by definition - but this doesn't mean that it's caused by faulty hardware. Viruses, corrupt drivers, and even poorly written programs can cause it.

3. What happens after the blue screen, do you have to restart the system, it restarts itself or it comes back up normally?

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I did update my drivers but the BSOD still going on.
And it was randomly, sometimes during gaming, sometimes on doing nothing.
I captured a photo when it was happen.
Please advise, thanks :)
It cannot restart itself, because every time the "Dumping Physical memory to disk" cannot reach 100 and always stopped.

Thanks very much, I would test it later on.
I found a Dell PC diagnostics and ran it, the video card test was up to 94C, is that normal? if not, do I need to phone customer service for further steps?
my video card is ATI HD5470.
Thank you so much :)

Hi hkopene019057

According to Intel, the maximum operating temperature for i7 CPU is 100c
However 97c on Dell PC diagnostics is little alarming
I would suggest you to get the BIOS update done this would help in over heating related issue
visit our support site ( www.support.dell.com) selecting the correct model of the system to update BIOS and video driver
