So I keep getting the blue screen Power State Failure which I am sure you are all aware of. It's happening a lot to me, and it really needs to go away it's causing my computer to be incredibly slow. The help would be greatly appreciated because I have a project due at the end of the day today (it's Friday here) and my computer freezes up all the time and sits a black screen for 15 minutes then show the Blue Screen of Death... It's insanely frustrating.

Here's the information...

· Windows 7
· x64
· What was original installed OS on system -
Os Name: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
OS Version: 6.1.7600 N/A Build 7600
OS Manufacturer: Microsoft Corporation
OS Configuration: Standalone Workstation
OS Build Type: Multiprocessor Free
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)? - OEM version (I believe)
· Age of system (hardware) - 11/4/2011, 1:36:27 AM to 7/24/2010, 3:12:06 PM, so about a year and 3 months
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? - I don't believe so
· CPU - Laptop

· Video Card - ? what it came with probably

· MotherBoard - AMD Turion(tm) II Dual-Core Mobile M500

· Power Supply - brand & wattage - Not sure :(

. System Manufacturer - TOSHIBA

. Exact model number - LS0SD-GS6000

Hi -

All 9 BSODs list your Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC driver as the probable cause -
Code:
[font=lucida console]rtl8192se.sys   Mon Apr 26 13:23:06 2010 (4BD5CBFA)[/font]
It needs to be updated - http://sysnative.com/0x1/DriverReference.html#rtl8192se.sys

Even though Realtek wifi named, Webroot Spysweeper is very old and likely causing problems too -
Code:
[font=lucida console]
ssfs0bbc.sys    Fri Nov 06 14:39:46 2009 (4AF47B82)
ssidrv.sys      Fri Nov 06 14:39:15 2009 (4AF47B63)[/font]
Remove Webroot w/ removal tool - http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN146

Reboot upon completion. Install MSE - http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/mse.aspx

You don't have Windows 7 SP1 installed, likely due to Realtek wifi + Webroot.

Check for Windows Updates after Webroot gone and Realtek driver is updated.

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it, lets hope I can take a couple hours here and just knock this problem out. But I do have a question... already haha. Sorry for being such a techie nub, but for that first driver that needs to be updated like a million things came out of that file and I don't know what to do...

Okay, so when I tried downloading MSE it worked fine. But when I run the program I can't do anything because apparently my Firewall can't turn on. I can't turn it on manually, and I tried those three methods that microsoft say to do and it still can't turn on. So right now I have no protection against viruses and my firefox keeps randomly opening without me touching it. HELP
