Is this a Custom-built PC you built yourself? I see from your Posted files it is using an Intel i3 Dual-Core Motherboard. Or if it's a name brand PC, such as Dell, HP, Gateway, ASUS, please post exact Make/Model.
As I suspected. Microsoft has done some tricky things with placing hash codes on Track 0 of SATA hard drives on modern windows installs (Win7 or newer); and specifically on Windows8.
It turns out you MUST do a low-level format (not True low-level) of your hard drive in order to downgrade from Win8 to Win7! I'm not sure if this is a revenue-generator for Techs like me *I certainly can use the extra cash!*, but there is some stuff they've done on Win8 that prevents average users from doing this downgrade. Microsoft seems to want you to take it to a Computer Pro to do this for you. :frown:
I have access to special software tools that allow me to do this. But, there are a few times I was able to correct the problem by using the Manufacturer's diagnostic toolsets (DLG for Western Digital, SeaTools for Seagate, etc.) to do a complete wipe of the hard drive, reload Win7 over the Win8 and that has worked. These diagnostics are completely free to download! If it doesn't work, you'll need to take to a local repair shop and pay to have them do it for you. Also, some other Techs in my community tell me that when Clients bring a computer in to do this that they require both the Win8 disk you used to do your update, and the Win7 disc you originally had used for the computer when you built it.
I've found other ways around this like I said, and I don't need to have both discs, just the Win7 disc with a good product key to do it. Guess the Techs here just want to play it safe and have everything they need.
You're fighting a very difficult battle...I spent weeks and weeks doing the first of these downgrades. :banghead:
