Hello, I wanted to know if someone could help me try and figure out why my pc is freezing at random times. I bought it new from Best Buy 3 days ago. I tried looking up the model of my computer on Google but couldn't find anything relevant. I did come across this one forum though by doing a general Google search for Asus desktop freezes:

COMPLETELY FREEZE WINDOWS 7 64 bit asus g73 desktop

The person responding in that thread said it might have something to do with adjusting memory frequencies in BIOS. I'm not sure how I would go about doing this and don't really want to damage my computer, or even if this is what I need to do. But if someone would guide me in the right path on what I should be doing, I would be very grateful. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to do that. This is actually the third computer I will return to their store. With the first two (HP's) I did a junkout exhange under their no lemon policy. Although I mistakenly paid for the three year warranty on the last 2 pc's thinking it was good investment. I'm never doing that again.

I was hoping this Asus would not not be experiencing any similar problems as the HP machines, but it has been and thought someone could help me figure out what is wrong with it. It sucks I made the mistake of buying from Best Buy in the first place. Now the refund amount / store credit has to stay in their store.

Edit: I haven't noticed any freezing lately. Do you think I should return it to their store anyway?

With BestBuy you have 14 days to return it.
You also have a 1 year manufacturer's warranty.
You may have purchased the 3 year protection plan - and that gets you a little bit more in the way of protection for the first year - and a lot more for the second and third year.

It's your call on whether to return it or not. Check for a PM from me.
