I am receiving this virus alert at random times (after reboot, if idle). When I run my antivirus AVG 6.0 - free version it cannot find the file. It says the file is located in : C:\System Volume Information\_restore{BC9F3C70-48FB-93C7-198E1A981607}\RP276\A0139737.exe . It says to run AVG to remove the virus. I'm not quite sure what to do or what kind of virus this is.

Turn off System Restore (as described below, assuming you XP). The run your virus scan again. Turn it back on when done, unless you find something that cannot be fixed. If so, come back here agin and post a fresh HJT log.

Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your computer. After we are finished with your log file and verified that it's clean, you may turn it back on and create a new restore point.
