Newbie with a blue screen...Help!
This is my first post so please bear with me. I used to use Cyberdefender, not happy and cancelled and removed it.
I can sign on to my pc using my account, my wifes or other. We usually use internet explorer but also have mozilla.
Our first problem with IE was not being able to get to any website using google, bing or any other search engine. Only the address bar in mozilla, on our "other" account would work. Then pop-ups and slow performance followed for a few days. Now all we get is a blue screen. We have no idea how to proceed.

Re: Newbie with a blue screen...Help!
Hi,
If help still needed do the following (if I understood it right you are able to sign on using your account):
Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds file to run the tool. - When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
- DDS.txt
- Attach.txt
- Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.

Re: Newbie with a blue screen...Help!
Thanks Blade. I misspoke. I can not log in at all. I turn on my pc, it begins the process of booting up and I get the BSOD. Any ideas? Perhaps you can help me log in in safe mode? Does that help me?

Re: Newbie with a blue screen...Help!
Hi,
Safe mode might work if it was accessible. Have you tried rebooting into it (to attempt safe mode, press F8 before Windows loading screen and select safe mode option)?

Re: Newbie with a blue screen...Help!
Hi,
Try the last known good configuration option (in the same menu as safe mode option is).
