Google Redirect has become something much worse.

Originally the problem was the Google Redirect virus. I didn't have the time to fix it when i first realized this, and i had a second computer so i figured i could come back to the problem. Well when i did try and fix it, the problem had become MUCH worse. When i open a firefox window it will open but is blank and wont go anywhere. That being the case for about a week, today my home page came up, redirecting me to random sites as it had before hand. It gets worse.

I've tried useing the programs HiJackThis, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, ParetoLogic PC Health Advisor 3.1. All of which were previously installed. I can't open any of these. Doesn't matter if i am in safe mode or if i try and run these programs as an admin, i get an error message. "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I reinstalled HiJackThis, same problem.

I've also tried Spyware Doctor, which will open but nothing is clickable making it useless. All my firewalls and safeguards have also been disabled, and i can't open any control panel options that would allow me to change this.

All my information is backed up so if wipeing my computer is the easiest option, and will work, i can do that. Any help with this would be appreciated, i'm pretty clueless at this point due to some of the suggested programs to fix this, not working.

Hello and welcome,

We can't make that determination until we see what's going on in the machine. Please follow the instructions in our pre-posting topic New Instructions - Read This Before Posting for Malware Removal Help and post the requested logs in your next reply.

If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply.
