Hello, I am having some very strange issues with my computer. I clicked on a bad website and then Windows Explorer wanted my permission to open an exe file. Pardon my French but I knew I wAs ****** and so I hit the reboot button. My mistake because as I rebooted vista antivirus 2011 popped up with it's bogus alerts and I ignored it waiting for my icons and start menu to load so I could run malwarebytes and be done with it. Except only, my icons and start menu won't load no matter any keyboard trick I try. Any help? I am running windows vista.

Will the icons load if you boot into safe mode?
Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key repeatedly until a menu shows up (and choose Safe Mode from the list). In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work.
If you hold down the windows key and the 'R' key will a run box appear?
If you hold down Alt, CTRL and Delete do you get the option to open the task manager?
