LEHR Eco Trimmer

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...nnorswebguidec

Anyone try this yet? Would love to hear some reviews from people here.

I have the Black & Decker battery powered blower and trimmer. The thing stinks. The trimmer takes both batteries to do my small yard, and the blower, well, doesn't blow. Was thinking LEHR might be nice and easy to use. Plus I can change attachments.

Propane powered? Have you priced the refills? How long do they last? How long does it take to switch attachments? Need special tools?

Add the price of a meal out, and buy a Stihl..

I have a Stihl bush cutter and a B&D corded blower/vac. Both work perfectly.

Have not priced refills yet. You get about 2 hours per canister. Canisters are 16.4 oz. Attachments I believe are sort of a "snap" together. I have not seen one in person, only videos.

I don't have this yet (still have my Stihl), but it is in the future. You can refill those little tanks from your own BBQ propane tanks with an adapter. I am told it is an easy transfer from your cookout tank and talked to someone who said he had filled his six or seven times already. Cheap and quick.

Someone told me they have an adapter at ACE hardware, but ours does not. However, here is a link to the adapter for something like $19.99 or so from Harbor Freight.

Re: LEHR Eco Trimmer

Charcoal grill here. :) Have not got a propane one yet.

Have you heard anything about these? I'm still on the fence. I have a homelite battery mower. Its ok, but in the summer it seems like I have to mow twice a week, otherwise it leaves lines in the grass, especially the Bahia. In time I may have to place that too. Even the winter rye gives the mower a hard time once in a while.

It could also be because I came from using my brothers professional mower and tools to these.
