Mouse and Keyboard Not working

Hi, recently my keyboard and mouse stopped working. I believe it was due to a driver update using the driver scanner from uniblue. Now I have gone through to my Bios to reset default setting which I don't think I should have done because everytime I start up my computer now it says to select a different Boot Device and Restart. I am lost someone help Please!

Hi Iamcoolru and welcome to TSF

You'll need to set your BIOS to boot from your C:\ drive first, it's hard to say exactly where the setting is though, as it varies from BIOS to BIOS. The setting should be marked as 'Boot order', 'Boot Devices', 'Boot Sequence' or some such wording.

Thank you, and yes I figured that out so far. Now I am just having the problem where none of my devices are working...

is your keyboard and mouse ps/2 or usb?

They are usb, but I have tried some ps/2 and no luck

little late but i would not of used any third party driver software they are not needed and can cause problems. i take it the keyboard works outside of windows right?

you can try a restore point before the problem happened What are the system recovery options in Windows 7?

To get to the restore I have to be in windows right?

the link should explain it. you start tapping F8 and then select restore computer option.

Not working, probably because I have a custom computer. I heard that I could use a usb pci card to fix the problem but am not sure. Help anyone???
