Hello, I'm new to these forums. I have a two 128 mb sticks in my Dell Dimension 8200, and would like to at least upgrade one to a 512. The only problem is that for my system, Dell wants me to pay 300 for an adaptable 512 stick that they're sure will run smoothly with my PC. 300 is a little steep for me, as I am a High School Student. My question is, are there any other adaptable memory sticks I can use? If I were to go with a Kingston 512 mb stick from Circuit City/Best Buy, will I have problems with it? My computer was born November 2002, for those wondering. thabnks for your time.

RDRAM is ONLY added in pairs, and you should have four slots in the MB, two with dummy modules in them. You can add two 256mb RDRAM modules for around $150 or so, which will give you an additional 512mb.
