I've recently bought a BenQ 24" TFT BL2405HT which I have connected to my PC using an HDMI cable. I'm not satisfied at all with the picture quality of that monitor. I am still trying different settings, but I'm not getting the desired result. Any recommendations?
My graphics hardware is an AMD Radeon HD 7540D. My drivers are up to date.
Will appreciate your advice and help. Thank you very much.
Only you can determine what settings are best for you. Possibly a defective monitor? I recently purchased 3 Asus that were all faulty..............one side of the screen was darker than the other on two and the bottom half was darker on the third.
What particular problems are you having?
Are you trying to adjust using the monitors settings or the GPU?
Have you tried changing the colour temperature this can affect the brightness.
Remember this is a TN panel so its good for gaming as it has 2ms response time but for movies and graphics design it wont be as good because of the colour. That's what IPS and PLS panels are for.
I have noticed that when I connect the monitor to the PC via the VGA cable, a picture with a size of 720KB and above will take some time to load. This problem does not happen when I connect using the HDMI cable. However, the quality of the picture with the VGA is better than the HDMI. What do you think?
I have read a few reviews on amazon.co.uk of this monitor and a few people have said it had a yellow tint and that it was impossible to get the colour correct. A few other people said they had dead pixles but most were positive.
Does your one have a yellow tint? if so I would replace it.
First and foremost, for the best quality image, you will want to use the native resolution of 1920 x 1080 ( I didn't see it mentioned what resolution you are using).
As for color, have you run the calibration? To get accurate color, it has to be calibrated. The video drivers should have a calibration option which will walk you through the steps.
Yes, I use a screen resolution of 1920x1080. Microsoft recommend a screen resolution of 1920x1200 for 24 inch LCD monitors. I can't achieve this resolution unfortunately.
That monitor can only do 1920 x 1080 just like my monitor.
