[SOLVED] Frames per seconds is running slow

I just built a computer specs of the computer is

asrock z 68 extreme 4 gen 3 motherboard
8 gb of ddr3 ram
intel i5 2500k pcu
amd radeon hd 6770 graphics card with 1 gb of ddr5
i have a 60 gb ssd hard drive for the the os
my total score windows score is a whopping 7.1 out of 7.9

cpu 7.1
memory 7.6
graphics 7.4
gaming graphics 7.4
primary hard disk 7.7

I know those numbers really dont mean anything but its just a start. I am getting a average of 13 frames per seconds (FPS) and I want to know what I can do to make this better. I Want to beable to play battlefeild 3 but I want to better the computer its not running to my liking.

Windows scores mean nothing.

And you haven't provided enough information.

Lower the resolution and test. FPS should go up.

Reduce the graphics options and test. FPS should go up.

thanks for the info. I did a test with 3d mark and I was getting a low score. I just found out about Fraps and it says I am running at 120 FPS when playing sims 3. I should not go buy scores I should just get the game and see how it performs to me.

Yea 3d mark gives me a low score but I can run bf3 on high and it doesn't lag , can't simply go on numbers , just hafta try the games.
