Screen looks fine, then turns black.

Hi guys! Im new here and my PC has a problem. I wasn't sure where to put this so I just put it here haha.
When I boot up my computer everything looks fine, I can go into BIOS and change some things, but then when it says "loading operating system..." the screen turns black and doesn't change.
This is on my custom computer I somewhat forgot the hardware but I have a AMD Pheneon CPU, an AMD Radeon video card, a gigabyte motherboard, a terabyte hard drive, some random shark RAM, and a corsair 750w PS. I also just installed some new fans.
Thanks! :)

Hi Newguy9854. Welcome to TSF!!

Have you installed anything recently besides fans?

Lets try resetting cmos first.

Re: Screen looks fine, then turns black.

What is the model number of the gigabyte board?

What kind of computer is it?
Custom build? or Prebuilt like dell,hp,etc?

resetting cmos will require you to shut down the computer and get access to the motherboard.

If you have the motherboard manual it will explain how to do that. If not I can head you in that direction with the model number of the board.

I have the manual, it is my custom built computer, not Dell, or XP, it is a gigabyte 990xa-ud3. Thanks I'll go check the manual bow and get back to you guys. :)
EDIT: turns out my video card is some random Vision tek one according to the box.
Is clearing CMOS what you're talking about? :)

Yes clearing CMOS. Make sure you follow the directions in the manual on how to do it.

After you do that, boot up and see how it acts.

Try booting with one stick of ram in.

If you get the same issue. Remove that stick and install the other one and try booting.

Ok, I'll try that, thanks! Any other thing it could be? Maybe the video card, or CPU? I just want to fix this haha, anyways, I'll try that. :)
EDIT: everything seemed fine, I booted it up in safe mode, and then the screen went black again. I unplugged and replugged my monitor to see whats up, and I saw windows! But it was alot larger and so was the cursor, it was the same with both sticks...

Can you get into bios and get the temps and voltages?

The 12v, 5v, and 3.3v values.

Just trying to be sure your video card is getting the proper power.

Has your video card been overclocked?

Ok so,
12v: 11.985v
5v: couldn't find :/
3.3v: 3.328v
I also found a v core which was 1.360v
I had to restart the comp at least 4 times while doing this.
I also found a DDR3 which was 1.540v
So? Look good? :)

Did you happen to see the temps? If not no big deal

The voltages look fine.

Can you try that video card in another computer? Or try a different one in yours?

Here's what happened, I installed the Microsoft one, and it seemed to have fixed it, but then it blue screened :/ so it seems to be my graphics card. What graphics card do you guys recommend for about $60? I can go up to $100 but would like to stay under $70. I'll try to see if I can fix the blue screening. I also went into safe mode and everything is still big... Thanks again! :)
