hi
i have a problem with my monitor
It turns black( lose signal) while i play games( League of Legends mostly)
It used to to this once a week before but now it does it daily and even more times in a single day
While the monitor is black i can hear the sound of the game, the music is still working and i can talk with people on teamspeak or other programs.
This is happening only when im in a game. My video card temperature is usually around 55-60 grades while im playing.
I just tried to remove the card and clear the slot and then put it back and i don't know if it worked yet but ill get back to you.
I used to run stress tests before on the video card and it was working fine in full load with a max temperature of around 70 grades.
thanks for answer
my video card driver is updated
well i don't think is the monitor
if is the monitor then why it goes black only in games?
i will see if i can manage to get another monitor to try it out
anyway like i said i pluged and cleared the video port and now im playing to see if i get it anymore , ill come back with more updates and maybe if you have any other theories
sorry for my english
i was thinking that it may be a audio cable problem so i changed to the front ports and plugged my headset there
before my monitor turns black i can hear a little sound in the headset like a freeze and right after it turns black
also nothing happens when i try to minimize
display only comes back after i restart
you can see my specs in that picture
can this be a ram problem?
or maybe PSU?
tell me what you think can cause this
today happend 2 times but i was able to play for more then 6 hours without any problems
also yesterday i ddin't get the problem

No we can't see any PC or component brand & models in the HWMonitor pic.
A number of things could cause the problem but we need to know what we're working with to assess the most likely suspect.
Not knowing precisely what we are working with only hinders our capability to assist you effectively.
it is a desktop pc
so here is what i did
i did change the PSU since the first psu was 280W(***) and now ill see if i get the problem again
if i do ill come back with specs and everything you need.
Precisely why we need to know what we're working with.
If we had the specs, the underpowered OEM PSU would have been a notable issue.
300W is the minimum recommended for a GT440 GPU and you want some headroom. I would recommend 350W with a good quality PSU.
The PSU in the pic has no brand so it is highly likely to be a lower quality unit and, even though it says 400W on the label, may not have sufficient power.
i think i got the solution
i underclocked the videocard from 780 to 720 and seems like its working for now
didnt get any black screen in the last 10 hours
let me see if this is working and ill come back with more info
Underclocking the graphics card reduces power draw and temperatures.
This still points to a underpowered PSU.
What amperage is on the 12V rail? can you post a pic of the PSU label?
well seems like that fixed the problem
i don't have problems with temperatures and i ddin't have before
i can't take a pic i don't have a data cable for my phone
anyway the pc is not so great and i think this fix will do it for now
i don't want to invest any money in it because i want to buy a new one later
thanks for help
so after i underclocked my videocard i was able to play without problems for 2-3 days and then it started again
it was looking like underclocking worked because i used to have this problem daily
now it's happening again and underclocking won't fix it
i even underclocked from 780 to 660 and the same problem
here i have a picture of my psu(****y quality i know)
i also cleared the dust from my pc(CPU mosly) and it seems like i have a bit lower temps on my cpu
now i sit on 37 degrees on idle on cpu and 40 on Gpu(gpu cooler is at 35% on auto)
in games gpu is about 55-60 and is going to 70 in high graphic games
well my pc was running on that 280W noname psu and it was doing the same
i clocked the video card back to default and now it goes black way more often then it was doing when it was on 660Mhz
default is 780Mhz
Does this look like my video card is failing?
i will see if i can give some1 my video card to see if it does the same to him and i will try out with his videocard
My primary concern would be installing a good quality PSU with sufficient power. Until then, you are only risking damage to the GPU and a continuing problem.
well i don't really want to buy a new good psu until i know for sure that psu is the problem
is there any way to know if psu is the problem?
also i don't think that any game that i played loaded the card to 100% and when i did the stress test the card was running at 100%, videocard fan speed also increased
doesn't that mean that the power draw increased? and in this case why it didn't crash?
