hi ...so my pc is hp xw4600 with intel x38 chipset which is capable of running gpus at pci-e 2.0 but my gtx460 is running only at 1.1 16x speed as stated by GPU-Z.Kindly tell me how to bring it to 2.0.
I've never checked myself as it's never been a consideration. But I know most of the third party apps uses drivers to collect the data and are not always accurate even when pulling basic information like current temp or voltages.
This may be a result of the card running at a lower power state.
In GPU-Z, select the question mark next to the Bus interface window.
Read what it says. Run the render test and while it is running, check the reading of the PCI-e again.
Also, you can run something that causes the graphics card to operate at a high usage and check GPU-Z, I think you will find that it operates at 2.0 under those conditions.
