Good graphics card.
Could anyone point me to a good low profile pci graphics card?
I'm looking for one that will run newer games pretty good for about 100 bucks.
Any help is appreciated! Prefer cards from newegg and amazon but ebay is cool too. Thanks!

Re: Good graphics card.
Hi redoshi,
I could be wrong here but I don't think there is a good low profile video that will run newer games at good framerates. Plus, a low profile gaming videocard on your computer will cause heating issues since your computer is a slim desktop, correct?
Check this link out: Newegg.com - low profile video card
Hope everything works out well for you.

Re: Good graphics card.
Drilling further with DBC's link (best for gaming, <$100) we get these two. Personally, I'ld pick the Sapphire. Depending on the rest of your system, either of these should give you playable frame-rates in most games at up to mid settings.
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more!
PS: Before purchasing, you also need to confirm your power supply will be adequate.

Re: Good graphics card.
Thanks! I'll probably end up buying that sapphire when I get paid. I know I wanted to stay under 100$ but would it be worth it to spend up to 50$ more to try and get a better card? I don't want to buy this just to find out if I would've payed like 20 bucks more I could have had something vastly superior. (This happened with the old card I bought D:)
Thanks for the help guys!
Btw forgot to mention my current card is Newegg.com - ZOTAC ZT-40609-10L GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card A GeForce 430 1GB

Re: Good graphics card.
There are several cards available for a few dollars more, however they are not low profile. In going through Newegg's listings of (lo-pro only) cards, I didn't see anything I would choose over the HD 6670 at any price. Everything they list for $100+, IMO are lesser cards.
I have to stress again the importance of having an adequate power supply. AMD recommends a minimum 400watt supply; I'ld rather see a good quality 500-550

Re: Good graphics card.
Is your case a slim unit?
There are no good quality sufficiently powered PSU's that will fit into a slim case.
You will need 550W minimum good quality PSU for a 6670.

^ this.
And Slimline cards and full sized cards are not compatible, even if you saw the extra rear plate in half (I don't suggest you do this).
Thanks,
