I'm getting choppy video playback when I full screen a video in 1080p and was wondering of anyone could help. Also the quality of the image isn't what you'd think for a 1080p video. Graphics card is the Nvidia GTX 750 ti
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium Sp 2
HDD: Western Digital WD10EZEX 1tb Blue
Motherboard: Biostar TA785GE 128M
CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) II X2 550 (2 CPUs) 3.1 ghz
4 gb RAM
Directx 10
Antec 500 watt PSU
Nvidia GTX 750 ti
And yeah choppy playback seems to happen with every 1080p video as well as the quality looking less sharp kind of jaggy. Using Chrome by the way.
Precisely what types of files are you running when the problem occurs? Does it only happen with streaming data or also with stored data?
Brand of the GTX 750ti and Model Number of the 500W Antec PSU?
The 750ti is not a power demanding GPU but if the PSU is low quality and/or has some age on it, it's a possible problem.
No programs just chrome running, and I've only tried streaming as I don't have any stored videos on my HDD yet. Oh, and the PSU is a Antec Basiq BP500U 500 watt ATX 12V PSU
Yeah I watched a DVD and didn't get any choppiness in the video but it wasn't 1080p so maybe that played a part. But YouTube videos still get choppy for me in full screen 1080p.
Speedtest showed 14ms for ping, 20.19 Mbps download, and 2.13 Mbps for Upload on first test. Second test was 13ms, 18.13 DL and 2.21 UL. Third was 14ms, 20.28 DL, and 2.11 UL. And the service is Time Warner Cable Los Angeles area.
Any cable service should have no issues with steaming video.
