So this computer is about 5+ years old, it's a Sound Blaster X-fi Xtreme audio (by Creative I think).

Two years ago I was on it one night, and it was fine. The next day it doesn't have sound. I tried everything. Checked the cords, checked the speakers, checked the settings, went through Microsoft's troubleshooting thing a thousand times, stuff like that. Everything (Audio console, Volume Panel, Windows stuff (A list of drivers thing, stuff like that), everything) says it's fine and working properly. The only thing I can think of that I haven't done is uninstall and reinstall the soundcard, and update the drivers. My mom said there was some pop-up window thing when she turned the computer on or something, but she doesn't remember what it said. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it or what.
I haven't been able to fix this for two years.

If anyone has any ideas at all, I'm open.

What model Dell?

I would suggest that you completely uninstall the Audio driver and reinstall the

latest driver from the manufacturer site if this has not been done.

It's Dimension B11O

I thought so too, but I haven't done it yet. But what I don't get is, why would it all of a sudden stop? Even if it needed updated, it worked not updated.

It could have been corrupted...happens all the time.

Update/reinstall the audio drivers as noted.
