[SOLVED] No audio device is installed.

I reinstalled "Realtek HD audio manager" recently because I was having trouble getting my microphone to work. Once installed I now have no audio devices showing up at all. The audio manager is not even recognizing anything I plug in like all the ports were unresponsive now. Needless to say I now have absolutely no sound at all and no idea how to fix it.

Edit: I am on windos Vista 32b.

Also I'm not sure if this falls under sound card problems or software. Sorry if its in the wrong place.

Re: No audio device is installed.

Did a system restore, now my computer is running extremely slow for some reason. Firefox will not open at all, forced to use internet explorer :( Sound shows devices installed but now there is no audio manager and my microphone/headset wont work.

I am running a virus scan but it has not located any issues yet.

Re: No audio device is installed.

After testing a bit, Speakers will only play windows sound, web based music players/videos and games are all silent

Re: No audio device is installed.

Nope, reinstalling drivers did not fix the issue.

Re: No audio device is installed.

download the uaa driver

Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio - TechSpot Drivers

uninstall the device from the device manager

install the uaa driver

then install the realtek driver and reboot
