Game suggestions?
hello everyone, since i am building a new computer near the end of the month, and the only game i have prepared for it is Crysis Warhead, i was wondering if anyone has suggestions for 1-2 games i should get?
Preferances-
Should be 10+hours of campaign ( if FPS 7+hours)
Should be modern( 2007+)
must be in the category of RPG, RTS or FPS ( no cods please, I hate them with a Passion)
Would enjoy, but does not require a multiplayer option for the game
Does not require, but would enjoy if the game has quite a few mods out there, so when im done, i have) something new to do
Games i was thinking of getting-
Risen ( hear it was fun to explore and there is plenty of loot to be found, but heard some bad things on melee combat, even tho i am more a mage in RPG games)
Witcher ( have not hear anything bad about it thus far, except before the enhanced version came out)
Far cry 2 ( may get this game regardless as its like $10-$20 , does not go towards the 2 game choice)
Portal 2 ( looks fun but im not exactly the best at figureing out puzzles)
Sorry for the somewhat strict preferances.
the suggestions for games dont have to come from the " games i am thinking of getting" list.
thanks for the help

As far as RPGs go, Dragon Age Origins, incredible game and story, with 50 plus hours of game time

Re: Game suggestions?
Try Half life 2: The Orange Box. You get Half Life 2 - a good FPS, Team Fortress 2 - a fun cartoon-like online multiplayer game, and Portal. Its a great package, and quite cheap!

Incorrect. If I remember correctly, you get Half-Life 2: Episode 1 and 2. You also get CSS, DoDS and HL2DM along with TF2 and Portal.

Re: Game suggestions?
I strongly suggest Mass Effect 1 and 2
also Dragon Age 1 and 2
best RPGs ever
The Witcher, is long! and trust me when I say long, it's really long!
it's great too, that if you love to explore! it has more than 80 hours of gaming including side quests of course
Bad Company 2 is good, but get it for the MP, single player is short, I suggest you wait for Battlefield 3
so what I suggest "choose carefully ;)"
RPG:
Mass Effect 1 and 2
Dragon Age 1 and 2
The Witcher
Two Worlds 2
FPS:
Crysis
Crysis Warhead
Crysis 2
Far Cry 2
Portal 2 (really fun and hilarious)
RTS:
starCraft II (one of the best RTS ever)
if you like more tactical Strategy, look at RUSE, World at Conflict, Company of Heroes
and the list never ends
it's long but have to stop here

Re: Game suggestions?
The Total War series is my favorite RTS, Shogun 2 Total War was released recently. For RPGs, Elder Scrolls Skyrim is coming out in November, it's a bit far off but definitely something to look out for when it arrives. I wouldn't rule out older RPGs, there are some great ones out there.
Recently Released:
Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood, Portal + Portal 2, Shogun 2 Total War + Any other Total War game, Half Life series (If you don't already have it, definitely a must), Crysis, Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2, the Witcher (not as long as some RPGs, but definitely 30+ hours), TES Oblivion, Mass Effect 1+2, Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Releasing soon/this year:
Fable III
Deus Ex Human Revolution
Red Orchestra 2
The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
The Witcher 2
Mass Effect 3 (Plus 1+2)
